Carbon monoxide transmitters

Carbon Monoxide (CO) transmitters are used in underground parking garages, tunnels, engine repair shops, etc. Carbon monoxide gases occur in parking garages when explosion engines are used like in diesel and gasoline vehicles. When the concentration of carbon monoxide in transmitters becomes too high, the fans start automatically and stop again when the CO concentration has down to the predetermined level. It is possible to connect the output signal directly to the EC fan. When an AC fan is used then normally CO transmitter output controls frequency inverters which are connected to the fan as controllers. These transmitters have a built-in electrochemical Carbon Monoxide (CO) sensor which has 5 years lifetime expectancy in normal operation. It’s recommended to install one CO transmitter per 400 m² and above 1,5m height.

Carbon monoxide transmitter

Carbon monoxide transmitters are used to detect CO levels in underground parking and to send signals to the top controller or directly to the EC fan. This CO transmitter sensor's lifetime is five years. This CO element is replaceable. The power supply required is 24 VAC/VDC and it could be installed in a harsh environment or outdoor applications. The working algorithm of this transmitter is that he could control the EC fan or AC fan controller. When the CO levels are up fan speed will increase and CO levels will drop till normal. These types of transmitters should be mounted in the center of the wall but not near any doors and windows.

Features

  • Power supply 24 VAC / VDC
  • Two analog outputs 0-10 VDC or 4-20 mA
  • Measuring ranges 0-50 ppm, 0-100 ppm, 0-200 ppm or 0-300 ppm
  • Response time 1 sec, 5 sec, 30 sec or 60 sec, selectable with DIP switch
  • Accuracy ±3 %
  • Protection class IP65

We could use Ouflex A controller in a project and connect several CO transmitters by RS485. If we use Ouman cloud Ounet, it is possible to check the status each time and if any alert happens, a person will receive an email immediately.
